WWPI Treaters are the core members of the Institute. Located throughout the 17 Western states and in two Canadian provinces, these treating companies produce a variety of preservative-treated wood products, from utility poles and marine pilings to sawn lumber, timbers and glu-lam beams.
There are two levels of Treater membership: Full Treater and Limited Treater. Full Treater membership is open to any company producing pressure-treated wood products with more than one pressure cylinder and more than one type of treatment. Limited Treater membership if for companies with a single pressure cylinder and a single type of treatment.
For information on Treater membership, contact WWPI Executive Director Butch Bernhardt at 360-693-9958. To review the preservatives used by Treater members, download the Sources of Supply publication.
